Teaching Philosophy

Having a teaching philosophy is vital to professional development and student success.  It leads to student growth and culture within the classroom and helps the educator stay true to their core beliefs about education.   As an avid educator, I believe in the following five philosophies for myself and for my students.

Life Long Learner

Lifelong learning as an educator is a critical component for growth not only as a teacher, but as a person.  It helps educators incorporate new tools and strategies into the learning process to boost their students' learning development.  As a lifelong learner, I will continue to stay updated on new technology developments and ways to incorporate them in my classroom.  I will also stay current with the best strategies to help students be successful in and out of the classroom.  It is evident that times have changed and so has the way we teach our learners.  Being a lifelong learner as an educator ensures that I not only play an active role in the evolution of education and my students, but that I can be a driving force behind the development of my learners.
